Clarence House is ideally situated in the center of the Southern suburbs either for business and/or for leisure. There are beautiful beaches on the Peninsula like Sandy Bay, Nordhoek Long Beach, Fish Hoek, and Seaforth/Boulders Beach only half an hour ride by car from Clarence House! Constantia Winelands are the oldest vineyards in South Africa and only a 10 minutes’ drive over the Wynberg Hill. On the way there you will pass the very popular Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens where Open Air summer concerts are taking place from December to April on Sunday afternoon. If you are more into walking than there are plenty of possibilities to explore. In walking distance are the Cricket and Rugby Stadiums, Cavendish Square Shopping Mall, the beautiful Arderne Gardens and the busy and always fashionable business center of Claremont with many fine restaurants, shops, cinemas and galleries. Holiday makers find easily  their way to all of the big sightseeing places around the Peninsula, the winelands and the South Coast. In less than one hour’s drive the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve with Cape Point can be reached. On the way to the south you pass the Penguin Colony at Seaforth and the picturesque seaside villages of Kalk Bay and Simon’s Town.   The city center with the Waterfront and lower cable car station is only a 20 minutes’ drive away from Clarence House and easy reachable over the M3 metropolitan highway.
